James Morrison live in Manila

The English singer-songwriter, James Morrison, performed for the first time in Manila last October 9, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

I've always loved his songs and thank God one of my friends does too, so we both decided to watch. We were only planning to get an upper B ticket, but one of the group buying sites, Groupon, had a promo, so we went for an upper A ticket that only cost us with the price of a gen ad one (add a hundred pesos more). What a sweet deal, right?

The concert was opened by local band, Moonstar 88. I'm not a fan, but I do love their song, Torete.

Again, sorry for the crappy photo. I need a camera with a better optical zoom. Or I need to learn how to capture scenes properly. ha ha!

He started his show with "Beautiful Life". It was just a tad bit sad because he didn't perform his other hits like "Please Don't Stop the Rain" and "You Make it Real". My favorite part of the concert was when he sang "Broken Strings". That song is just, ugh. I can't even explain. Ha ha!

With that, James Morrison  is definitely one of the greatest singers/performers of my generation and one of those underrated artists in the music biz. His songs are soulful, and hits you to the core!

Oh, I love his British accent by the way! :)
