Divergent and its second installment Insurgent, is in a Dystopian Chicago setting. The city is divided into 5 factions: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Erudite and Dauntless.
Every sixteen year olds take an aptitude test to see which Faction they will most likely fit. But for a few of them, results are inconclusive.
Follow the story of Tris Prior as she discovers she's a divergent, what it entails to be one. and how her choices will change everything.
The third, and final, book is to be released in Fall 2013 in the US. For us here in the Philippines, I'll keep you posted.
A big screen adaptation of Divergent is to start filming sometime next year, 2013. And is set to hit the theatres on 2014.
From the news I've read online, it has been confirmed that Shailene Woodley will be play Tris Prior. And it's down to FOUR guys for the role of FOUR. Ha ha! namely, Luke Bracey, Brenton Thwaites, Lucas Till and Jack Reynor. My pick: Brenton Thwaites.
Let's just hope they pick the best one to play Four. If you've read the book, you know what I mean.
